In this article we elaborate on these updates. Over the next period we will be sharing more about our innovations, so keep an eye on our social media and website.

vCloud Director

To manage all your servers and applications, Fundaments uses the vCloud Director portal. This online portal gives our users access to all Cloud building blocks that can be used to configure the application landscape: servers, networks and edge devices for firewall, load balancing and VPN functionality. In addition, standard installations for Linux and Windows Server can be selected from a catalog and users can also place their own images: the ideal platform for a virtual data center.

Ongoing developments

This portal is in full progress. More features from VMware are being realized here, with the most recent and major development being the change to HTML5 as the basis. At Fundaments we also try to add as much functionality as possible when it comes to all datacenter related services: backup integration and disaster-recovery links are some of the features we develop and test together with our suppliers.

Performance statistics

One of the most recent enhancements we have added is the statistics to display the performance of your virtual machines. This integration has become available in the HTML5 portal and gives you insight into the performance of your server. Very useful if e.g. historical performance data is needed for behavior of an application. For instance, you can see an overview of the CPU usage, the used working memory and the disk activity of your Virtual Machine. The periods that can be looked over are half an hour, hour, day and week.

Viewing statistics

To view statistics, click on 'details' in vCloud Director under the desired Virtual Machine. Then under 'monitoring chart' you will find the performance data of the various components of your Virtual Machine at a given time.
