In discussions with her partners, Fundaments, provider of IaaS services, noticed that both the abbreviation DR and the term Disaster Recovery are not widely known in the market. There is a need for further explanation, especially among smaller enterprises. For instance, backup is often confused with Disaster Recovery, while this is really something completely different. How is it possible that something so important, is so unknown? In the search for the answer to this question, we came across a blog¹ from a British DR-as-a-Service provider.
