Fundaments teams up with Saxion University of Applied Sciences

Development of IT talent in Twente

To achieve this, we work closely with Saxion University of Applied Sciences, creating challenging and relevant project assignments several times a year to engage their ICT students in the latest IT developments. We then supervise these students and together we work towards a successful and, above all, educational execution of their assignment.

Over the next two months, we will be working with Mitchel, Tom, Jordi and Vincent from Saxion Deventer. They are fourth-year HBO-ICT students studying IT-Service Management (ITSM). Yesterday, they were at our office for an introduction with their supervisors Larik-Jan and Arnoud. As it turned out, the foursome immediately had to immerse themselves in their role as contractors and find out more about the needs of their client (Fundaments) in an intake interview.

For this assignment, we play the fictional role of an app developer who has developed an app for doctors and psychologists containing the health status of their patients. However, there is a requirement in the database that contains the current data with the patient's file: this file must be stored in the patient's country of origin. It is up to the contractor (the students) to come up with a solution for this and implement their design. This will include topics on Cloud technology, Multi Cloud deployment, security and compliancy. In addition, the aim is to actually realise a prototype based on the intended result.

Overall, a very challenging but interesting assignment for Mitchel, Tom, Jordi and Vincent. Good luck guys! We are very eager to see the results.
