Fundaments doneert hardware aan IT-studenten van ROC van Twente

Imagine, if you were an IT student, getting to play with the other brands of hardware than the limited supply normally available at your college. That is exactly why Fundaments made the donation. Jeroen Tekelenburg, COO of Fundaments, says: ‘We want to ensure that tomorrow's IT professionals are ready for the challenges of the job market. By offering different brands, students learn about the existence of the ‘dialects’ of these brands. This way, they will soon be employable as IT professionals in any job that comes their way!’

Introduction to various types of hardware

In the current job market, there is a growing demand for well-trained IT professionals. To ensure that future IT professionals can develop to their full potential, it is important that they are already introduced to different brands and types of hardware during their education. This allows them to ensure broad employability after their education, making them a valuable asset to potential employers.

Jeroen adds: ‘At Fundaments, we are always thinking about the future and we want nothing more than to support the next generation of IT talent. That's why we were delighted to donate a batch of hardware to ROC of Twente. We hope the students enjoy it and that it helps them take their IT skills to the next level. Our slogan for a reason says: Go beyond. Be the best.’

The hardware handover took place at Fundaments' beautiful office building, an old textiles mansion in Enschede. Jeroen had the honour of handing over the hardware to Maarten Ferguson, the Hardware instructor at ROC of Twente. Maarten says: ‘This allows us to offer students more possibilities, both in physical warehousing and in the technical realisation of projects. It really adds value for the students and we are very grateful for that.‘

For the students, Jeroen has the following message. Jeroen has this message for the students: ‘We are extremely proud of this cooperation and can't wait to see what great things you, the IT students, will do with the hardware. The IT world is waiting for you, so make something great out of it!’
