Cloud to Cloud DRaaS
With Disaster Recovery as a Service (DRaaS) by Fundaments, you safeguard the continuity of your organisation in case of a disaster. Because a copy of your complete virtual environment (data, systems, networks and applications) is stored at another location, you are back online in no time without losing any company data. DRaaS by Fundaments can be applied in multiple scenarios: as Cloud to Cloud DRaaS and as on premises to Cloud DRaaS.

DRaaS in practice
DRaaS can be applied in several scenarios: the most common is Cloud to Cloud, where the source and fallback sides are both housed in Fundaments IaaS. Another commonly used scenario is a fallback from an office location to Fundaments IaaS: this is an on premises to Cloud scenario. This allows for disaster recovery without large investments in in-house hardware.
Cloud to Cloud DRaaS
This scenario uses a fallback scenario between one of the Fundaments data centre locations in the Netherlands, where a fallback between each of these data centres can be realised. In a fallback between Fundaments data centres, a full reservation is always made of the IaaS components vCPU and vRAM, so that guaranteed resources are available in the event of a data centre failure. In this Cloud to Cloud scenario, Fundaments can fully configure the network to the user's requirements, as the entire environment is fully managed by Fundaments.
Cloud to Cloud DRaaS to complement IaaS
Having a good backup at a location other than your own is only the first step in preventing data loss and ensuring continuity. Step two is having the right recovery environment. The recovery environment should mirror the production environment, so to speak. Step three is ensuring that the right tools, processes and people are in place at the time when risaster recovery is needed. Choosing Cloud to Cloud DRaaS is therefore of great value when you want to maximise the chances of recovery and continuity.
