Direct network connection
This is ideal if, for example, you send a lot of data or want to use your data securely within your own network. The connection to your AWS environment is a private connection (the Cloud Connect Circuit), which does not run over the public internet. This makes the connection uniquely available to you, more reliable and more secure.
Thanks to AWS Direct Connect, you get instant access to a growing list of powerful AWS services accessible over the internet, such as Amazon Simple Storage Service (Amazon S3), Elastic Compute Cloud (Amazon EC2) and Amazon Virtual Private Cloud (Amazon VPC). Another great advantage of AWS Direct Connect is that you can easily scale your connection. For example, you can choose from connections of 1 Gbps and 10 Gbps.
