Customisation and maximum grip on availability can only be guaranteed if all links and underlying services are managed in-house. Fundaments can do this management for you. Fundaments has access to NDIX's digital infrastructure at multiple locations across the country and offers multiple IT services through this marketplace. Any party connected with its own NDIX connection (layer 2 Ethernet) can use these services. All Fundaments' services such Infrastructure as a Service, Back-up as a Service and Disaster Recovery as a Service are easy to connect. Fundaments has all connections and underlying services in-house, which ensures that both customisation and maximum grip on availability can be guaranteed.
Direct connection
Through the NDIX network, it is possible to access your Fundaments Cloud services without having to use public networks such as the internet. It is also possible to directly access your data centre-based services, such as Fundaments Infrastructure as a Service. Backup as a Service and Disaster Recovery as a Service are also highly suitable over this connection; precisely because bandwidths are guaranteed and network performance is highly predictable. All connections to the Fundaments network are done with a 10 Gbps link and all connections on the network are realised redundantly.
NDIX‘ growing network ensures that more and more locations in the Netherlands and Germany are opened up and that Fundaments’ services can be deployed more widely. The current network map can be viewed on the NDIX website.
A reliable connection
NDIX's network is a layer 2 Ethernet infrastructure. Based on VLANs (802.1q), data and service traffic is exchanged between connected users, where Fundaments is one of the network's users. The guaranteed availability of a VLAN is 24/7 with at least 99.9% availability. By using multiple links and/or VLANs, this availability can be further increased. Fundaments links the VLAN-based connection directly to the network, making the network directly connectable to Fundaments' services. This connects your office location directly to Fundaments' data centres via broadband, secure connections. All services available therein can then be used without further required configurations or (network) equipment.
Monitoring by Fundaments
The connection with NDIX is monitored 24/7 by Fundaments' Cloud Experts. Within the Fundaments network, all linked equipment is redundant. In addition, Fundaments has multiple NDIX coupling points, where redundancy also means service remains available in case of a local NDIX failure. The network segments are connected multiple times with 10 Gbps connections. This also ensures that the total chain is secured from the NDIX connection point within Fundaments and that the network is delivered with at least equal availability.
